At Gargrave Road.
George III (my Father) In the sitting room of the Manse in Gargrave Road. He was Methodist Minister of Water Street Church. Not now a church but municipal offices. Registrar etc. He must have been in his early 40s at the time as he moved to Harrogate in the summer of 1945. The piano is now in Anne’s house St Erth Cornwall. It is played every day by Ray, George’s son in law.
The Bookcase.
This was George’s (my Father) 21st birthday present from his parents. and is now in the house of George
IV (Peter) in Keighley. All the brothers Syd and Laurie had similar bookcases for 21st birthday presents.
Also, Clara (my Grandmother) in the kitchen of 1A Oakdale Road Leytonstone. Note the letter rack still in existence in George
IV house. Did George III make it at school?

school, it still has fragments of a label stuck on in the classroom. Here

Picture of my Grandmother and Father on the step of 1A Oakdale Road. The door to their upstairs flat is open. This picture probably taken in the early 1950s as Clara died in 1955.
The flat is actually a maisonette, known as a Warner
house (after the builders) Anne's son John lived in a similar one for a

George and Liza (my Great Grandparents) are sitting in the front row. They had 1 daughter and 5 daughters in law are these some of them? In the middle back row looks like a young Laurie.

Two pictures, one has an old lady which has "mother" hand written on the back. The other has Liza and old lady. Full name Eliza Ann was born in 1855. Her mother was baptised in1832. Would be about 23 or 24 when Liza was born. Who is the old lady?
Mother. This picture also has "mother died 1909" on the back in the same hand. Who is the old lady?
