Thumb for whitehouse 1947.jpg (136 KB) The White House is the house Granny and Grandpa Allen moved to on leaving Chalkways in 1947. It is in Salisbury. Grandpa was ill and died not long after. Granny moved to Southcott in Wilton. Granny died 1950/ 51 new years eve or day and the house was let out for a while, hence the gin bottles under the stairs when we moved there in about 1952.
